Lineup not changing?

Do you ever change a lineup before a game, but it doesn't take effect until afterwards? I put my defensive 2-guard in and ratcheted my defense to clutch, but my offensive guard started the game. Checking my lineup, the defensive guy is in the starting slot. Does this happen to you? It takes a lot away from the enjoyment of when your strategies don't get to play out.
